The Romanian Room Update and Refresh Project

The Romanian Room in Manoogian Hall is the heart of social, scholarly, and cultural activities in the Department of Classical and Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, and the English Language Institute. From cooking classes to dance and art classes, from awards ceremonies to dissertation defenses, from lunches to lectures, everyone who passes through Manoogian has fond memories of the Romanian Room.

We love the Romanian Room, and now the Romanian Room needs some love! This high-traffic hub of activities was dedicated in 1978, and it is showing signs of wear and tear. Help us update and refresh our beloved heritage room, and help preserve it for a bright and vibrant future!

Choose a giving level

Help protect the mural!

We want to protect the mural with Clarus Magnetic Glassboard from all of the exciting use the Romanian Room enjoys. It will take a lot of small donations, but every little bit helps us reach our goal!

Share a chair!!

Small contributions eventually add up to larger pursuits!

Donate a chair!

Help us upgrade to the Nimble High Density Stacking chair!

Donate an arm chair!

We hope to beautify the Romanian Room with 50 fashionable side chairs!

Donate a nesting table!

For a department that loves to meet and eat, tables are essential. Help us in our quest for 10 nesting tables that will add pizzazz to all of our events!
